Kathryn Marshall

With over 20 years’ experience at both nationally ranked and boutique law firms, Kathryn has dedicated her career to prosecuting and enforcing intellectual property rights in the United States and world-wide. She represents clients in all facets of trademark, copyright and trade secret law, including trademark selection and clearance, trademark registration and brand management, world-wide trademark portfolio oversight, copyright registration, and DMCA takedown notices and safe harbor compliance. Kathryn also assists clients with a variety of IP transactional matters, including negotiating and drafting assignment, licensing, co-existence, co-branding partnerships, non-disclosure and settlement agreements.


 

On the enforcement side, Kathryn has served as lead litigation counsel in over 30 federal and state court litigations, specializing in trademark, copyright and unfair competition disputes. She is also responsible for representing clients before the TTAB, managing international litigation, and resolving cross-border intellectual property disputes.  Kathryn represents clients in the e-commerce, apparel, entertainment, music, sports, merchandising and consumer goods industries and guides clients with pragmatic solutions geared towards safeguarding IP rights and fostering strategic market expansion.  



 
Kathryn was previously employed by prominent law firms Wasserman Law Group LLP, Morrison & Foerster LLP, and Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro LLP. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Berkeley Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from U.C. Berkeley.
